tonykorol/t5_phoneme_decoder
t5_phoneme_decoder is a machine learning model from tonykorol. Use it for the machine learning task on the model card, and read the license before you ship it in a product. It is set up for transformers. The card lists the license as apache-2.0.
should probably proofread and complete it, then remove this comment. --

From the Hugging Face model README
This model is a fine-tuned version of t5-small on the Neural Prosthesis Phoneme-Text dataset. It achieves the following results on the evaluation set:
This model accepts phoneme text sequences and decodes them into full sentences. In this case, phoneme sequences are generated by decoding neural spike data with a GRU based decoder. This model allows us to see the phonemes more naturally as English language.
This model was trained for a course project for ECE243 at UCLA. This is not intended for any other uses, besides for this project/future personal experimentation
The following hyperparameters were used during training:
| Training Loss | Epoch | Step | Validation Loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.1303 | 1.0 | 726 | 0.1084 |
| 0.1084 | 2.0 | 1452 | 0.0939 |
| 0.0998 | 3.0 | 2178 | 0.0892 |
