Basalt Source Insight Basalt Source Insight is the models which can detect the source lithology, temperature and pressure based on the major elements content. We obtained accuracy of approximately 95% on the testing dataset. Furthermore, we also employ an XGBoost regression model to predict the pressure and temperature conditions of generation of basalts from diverse sources. Our predictions of temperature exhibit remarkable precision, with mean absolute errors of about 49°C. Similarly, our pressure estimations have also a high level of accuracy, with mean absolute errors hovering at approximately 0.37 GPa for various lithologies.
