Overview

Cold Email Generator is a Flask application that drafts business outreach emails from job postings. It extracts job requirements from a webpage, finds relevant examples in a portfolio, and uses an LLM to write an email tailored to the opportunity.

How it works

1. The user submits a job posting URL.
2. The application loads and cleans the webpage text.
3. Llama 3.1 extracts the role, experience requirements, skills, and description into structured data.
4. ChromaDB searches a portfolio of technology stacks and project links for examples relevant to the extracted skills.
5. The LLM drafts an outreach email using the job details and retrieved portfolio links.

Technologies

Python, Flask, LangChain, Llama 3.1 via Groq, ChromaDB, and Pandas.

Scope and limitations

The application processes the first job posting extracted from a submitted page. Email quality depends on the webpage content, the accuracy of the extracted job details, and the relevance of the portfolio entries. The generated email should be reviewed and edited before it is sent.

This repository contains application code and is not itself a hosted interactive demo.
