Whisper-family ASR Inference Endpoint
Custom HF Inference Endpoint handler for the Whisper architecture — the endpoint
counterpart of src/transcribers/whisper.py. One handler repo serves both
openai/whisper-large-v3 and the WAXAL whisper-small-waxal-* fine-tunes; the served
model is chosen by the WHISPER_MODEL env var, and (for the multilingual large-v3)
the forced language by WHISPER_LANG (unset = auto-detect; WAXAL models are
monolingual so leave it unset).
Protocol: POST {"inputs": <base64 audio>} → {"text": ...}. Long audio is chunked in
the pipeline (chunk_length_s=30). Deploy with min replica = 0 (scale-to-zero).
