legal_doc_text_generator_gpt2

Overview

legal_doc_text_generator_gpt2 is a generative model fine-tuned on a massive corpus of open-source legal contracts, court filings, and legislative documents. It is designed to assist in drafting standard legal clauses and boilerplate language, significantly reducing the time required for initial document preparation.

Model Architecture

Based on the GPT-2 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 2) architecture.

• Backbone: 12-layer decoder-only transformer.
• Training: Fine-tuned using Causal Language Modeling (CLM) on legal-specific tokens to improve the use of "legalese" and formal structure.
• Context Window: 1024 tokens.

Intended Use

• Clause Drafting: Generating "Force Majeure," "Indemnification," or "Confidentiality" clauses.
• Legal Research Assistance: Summarizing or extending existing legal arguments for draft review.
• Template Generation: Creating skeleton structures for Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

Limitations

• Accuracy: The model is a linguistic tool, not a lawyer. It may generate clauses that are legally unenforceable or factually incorrect.
• Jurisdictional Bias: Primarily trained on US Common Law documents; may not be applicable for Civil Law jurisdictions.
• Hallucination: Can invent legal citations or statutes that do not exist. All output must be reviewed by a qualified legal professional.
