A simplified Flask-based trading dashboard inspired by the React trading dashboard project. This version focuses on core functionality without the complexity of the original ui-trading-system.

Quick Start

Installation

cd /Users/wkp270/Documents/DNH_Trash/Trash/trading-dashboard
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate
pip install -r requirements.txt

Running the Application

python app.py

The app will start on http://127.0.0.1:5000

Default Admin Credentials

• Password: admin123

Key Differences from Original Projects

Compared to React Project (tradewithlive)

• Simplified Architecture: Flask backend instead of React frontend
• No Build Process: Direct Python execution, no npm/webpack
• Same Core Features: Influencer tabs, P&L tracking, access control
• Mock Data: Includes mock data generation for testing
• Ready for Zerodha: Structure supports Zerodha integration

Compared to Original Flask Project (ui-trading-system)

• Removed Complex Trading Logic: No algorithmic trading strategies
• Simplified Dependencies: Only Flask and Werkzeug required
• Cleaner UI: Modern dark theme with glassmorphism design
• Focus on Dashboard: P&L tracking instead of order placement
• No WebSocket: Uses polling for data updates

Future Enhancements

1. Real Zerodha Integration: Connect to actual Kite Connect API
2. Database: Replace JSON storage with SQLite/PostgreSQL

Security Notes

• Uses session-based authentication
• Passwords are hashed using Werkzeug
• Private influencer data requires passcode
• Admin-only endpoints protected
• In production, use HTTPS and proper secret key
