Tis an end-to-end computer vision system for identifying individual cats from raw video data. The system automates the full pipeline, starting from video ingestion and object detection, to frame extraction, image preprocessing, and data augmentation. A convolutional neural network is then trained to distinguish between individual animals based on visual features.
This approach enables scalable identification of stray or unregistered animals without the need for physical tagging. Potential applications include animal welfare monitoring, shelter management, and population tracking.
